More than 70 boats are expected to be on the start line racing in IRC Four for the Rolex Fastnet Race. Nearly all of the 500 plus sailors racing in the class are amateurs, and all bar a few boats are under 40ft.

Celebrating 96 years since the first Fastnet Race, the founding race of the Royal Ocean Racing Club, this was one of the first 'classic 600 milers' and today is the largest participation offshore race with 388 starters in 2019.
The RORC was founded in 1925 to encourage long distance yacht racing and the design, building and navigation of sailing vessels in which speed and seaworthiness are combined. Today the club encourages ocean, long distance and other forms of yacht racing and yachting activity.
